Ahmed Isah Early Life and Career
Ahmed Isah was born in Idanre, Ondo State. In 2009, he launched Brekete Family, which initially aired on Kiss FM. On May 17, 2021, Peter Nkanga, a BBC investigative journalist, released a documentary highlighting an incident where Isah slapped a woman who had abused a child. Ahmed Isah later apologized, attributing the act to his struggle with anger management. Shortly after the documentary’s release, Ahmed Isah was detained by the Nigerian Police in Abuja, and the National Broadcasting Commission revoked his broadcasting license. Mohammed Eibo Namiji, writing for Blueprint, suggested the backlash against Ahmed Isah was part of a conspiracy. Ahmed Isah was eventually released from custody.
In January 2022, Fabian Benjamin, a JAMB official, filed a defamation lawsuit against Isah, seeking ₦6 billion in damages.
