BR Naidu Biography: Veteran media entrepreneur and philanthropist Bolineni Rajagopal Naidu (popularly known as BR Naidu) has been appointed as the new chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). The move was supported by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Known for his commitment to Hindu values, social welfare and independent journalism, BR Naidu brings a wealth of experience to this prestigious role.
Naidu was born into a humble farming family in Chittoor district. His journey from a rural background to becoming a successful businessman and community leader is a testament to his determination. The sixth child of Muniswamy Naidu and Lakshmi, he began his career with Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL) where he quickly became known as a champion of labour rights as the general secretary leading 12,000 employees. His wife Vijayalakshmi also served at BHEL, deepening their shared commitment to the community.
BR Naidu is highly regarded for his influence in the political landscape of Andhra Pradesh, especially in the 1983 Prajaswamya Punardarana movement in support of NT Rama Rao. His unwavering support for NT Rama Rao laid the foundation for enduring ties with India, the current Prime Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
