Kelvin Momo Biography: Kelvin Momo is the stage name of Thato Kelvin Ledwaba, a South African artist, DJ, producer and songwriter. Over the last few years, the self-proclaimed Soulful King has been creating production mixes, releasing songs and gaining a reputation as a great producer.
Kelvin was born in Diepkloof, Soweto in 1994 and his soulful house inspired amapiano tracks make him stand out in the crowd. He is a pioneer of the “Private School Amapiano”, a sub-genre of the category that combines jazz, deep house and lounge influences.

His 2020 album, Momo’s Private School, is an ice-cold masterpiece, featuring groovy keys and lush pads that replace amapiano’s typical roughness with a polished sheen. The record is gaining momentum and performing very well on streaming services.
